Summary of Position:
A core component of Save The Bay’s mission is to cultivate environmental stewardship among those who live on or near the Narragansett Bay estuary, its tributaries and its surrounding waters. To this end Save The Bay’s Explore team offers a variety of educational programs tailored to meet the needs of elementary school children, middle and high school students, and adults. For an number of years the organization has offered various on-the-water fee-for-service educational programs to adults and families, including seal watching trips and lighthouse tours, based primarily out of Newport harbor.
The Market Research Intern will assist the Executive Director and the Explore staff in evaluating potential tourism and ecotourism opportunities in Narragansett Bay, with particular emphasis on the City of Providence and the upper Bay.
