Rewards of being a SII Senior Fellow

SII Fellows strive to create a culture of generosity in the network by being generous towards future entrepreneurs. They receive:
recognition of their efforts on the SII website
- recognition of their efforts at the alumni commencement event (past attendants included the president of Ashoka, and the president of Polaris Project)
- opportunities and resources to pursue relevant conferences and educational programs
- access to and networking with accomplished alumni
- the opportunity to mentor and guide budding social entrepreneurs

Responsibilities: What do SII Fellows do?
- Read & mentor Starr Fellowship applicants (Fall)
- Read and provide feedback on the business plan and grants competitions (Spring)
- Facilitate one peer critique.
- Provide ad-hoc mentoring to interested Brown students
- Maintain an individual profile on the SEN website
- Host monthly Office Hours (2hr / month)

What are a SII Leader’s Qualifications?

- Demonstrated leadership in the social sector
- Minimum of one year completed as leader of a campus of a group, either a campus/student group, or a project or organization
- Experience fundraising in the social network
- Demonstrated motivation in social entrepreneurship through commitment to a specific group or cause

What have SII Leaders Accomplished?
- Acted as readers for the 2009-10 Starr Fellowship applicants
- Substantially participated in the first iteration of the Peer Critique
- Provided Ad-hoc mentoring to interested Brown student groups
