Saturday, March 14th, 9:00pm - 1:00am, at Leung Gallery A Black Tie Ball in support of Kiva.org hosted by Delta Phi Beta Dance the night away in support of entrepreneurs on kiva.org at the inaugural Kiva Ball; a rocking black tie evening featuring the Jimbo Norman Band (fantastic band from Campus dance 2005-2008). Hors d'oeuvres all evening. Cash bar with wine, beer, and signature well drinks -- It should be a blast. What is Kiva? Kiva is the world's first person-to-person micro-lending website, empowering individuals to lend directly to unique entrepreneurs in the developing world and help them out of poverty. Proceeds from the event will be used to create a loan portfolio which you can track online. This portfolio will have the ability to lend again and again to micro-entrepreneurs who appear on the Kiva website. Ticket prices include a donation to Kiva. We will be in the mailroom on Wednesdays and Fridays from 10am-5pm so you can pick up your ticket, or purchase it in person if you prefer.
