The Social Innovation wants to recognize top leaders at the University who have contributed extensively to projects on social change through the SII Senior Fellow award. Five upper classmen will be selected to serve as the face of social entrepreneurship at Brown, provide guidance to other students, and foster relationship with alumni.Nominations and self-nominations are accepted for application: please e-mail Alan_Harlam@brown.edu

$50,000 Business Plan Competition

Brown's Entrepreneurship Program and the Social Innovation Initiative have partnered to host a $50,000 business plan competition. Cash and in-kind prizes will be awarded to the top three overall winners and top three not-for-profit plans. Submit your business plan by email (in PDF format) to ep@brown.edu before Friday, April 10, 2009 at 11:59 PM. Topics covered in this workshop will include prospect research, how best to target your funding search, writing and presenting your proposal, and building relationships with donors.
