Faculty Guide

Whether in an introductory course or an advanced seminar, service can be an effective pedagogy. Research suggests that students engaged in courses that integrate service are more likely to come to class, more likely to come prepared, and more likely to demonstrate better acquisition and retention of content then peers in non-service courses. Service continually begs the quesstion of context and the integration of knowledge and allows students to test theories and concepts.
