Brown Education Link Lecture Series (BELLS)

The Brown Education Link Lecture Series brings a different Brown professor to the Rhode Island Adult Correctional Institution each week to lead a discussion on a topic relevant to his or her academic interests and to a theme. Participants last year framed discussions using the themes of Questions of Citizenship and Knowledge, Justice and Authority.

Founded by Jonathan Coleman ‘09 and Arthur Matuszewski ’11 the program screens potential students from the medium security population. Students are responsible for completing an assigned reading before each lecture and participating in class discussions. The program is open to all Brown University faculty.
